Computerized Testing
Our office utilizes state-of-the-art computerized testing programs, which have been validated by the scientific and research communities, to objectively measure various cognitive parameters. Obtained results are compared against large databases collected in the United States and Internationally.
IVA+Plus™ and IVA-AE™ (Advanced Edition) Continuous Performance Tests (Attention)
Developed by BrainTrain of Richmond, VA, this test objectively measures visual and auditory attention parameters for ages 6 to 99. The results of this continuous performance test differentiates between the four sub-types of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ADHD Predominantly Inattentive Type, ADHD Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Type, ADHD Combined Type, and ADHD not otherwise specified.
Taking approximately 30 minutes, the test acquires data based upon the number of correct and incorrect responses and errors from impulsivity (errors of commission) or inattention (errors of omission) which is compared to the appropriate normative group by gender, age, and level of education.
